hands-on PTR-MS 2016 and the 2nd IONICON User-Day – a review
Attendance at an all-time high for the two major PTR-MS community events
In the second week of February 2016, the comprehensive PTR-MS learning & training event “hands-on PTR-MS” attracted nearly 50 participants from all over the world. We were unable to accept all applications due to our strict policy for small training group size in the workshops, our customers could choose from. Nevertheless, we are glad that we could attract and accommodate a record-breaking number of attendees to our PTR-MS events 2016.
Users at all levels, from beginners to experts, working at different PTR-MS instruments gathered at the “home of PTR-MS”, IONICON’s hometown Innsbruck, Austria for an intensive two-days seminar. A combination of lectures and “hands-on” program was provided where an interaction with the IONICON team and among PTR-MS users was facilitated, covering various highly relevant topics.
Thereafter, the second IONICON User-Day offered an interactive discussion board with 5 renowned experts in various PTR-MS related fields, incl. short impulse lectures and Q&A sessions. Only the second time to be conducted, the User-Day filled a gap between the training seminar and the International PTR-MS Conference following this series of PTR-MS events.
The 7th International PTR-MS Conference, organized by the University of Innsbruck in Obergurgl, Austria, concluded the sequence of PTR-MS events 2016. A successful week full of science and networking with more than 100 participants sharing the latest developments, results and a bright outlook for real-time trace gas analysis using IONICON instruments.
IONICON is the exclusive sponsor of the International PTR-MS Conference series.
