Pittcon 2010 review

March 1-4, Orlando, FL

Despite the rather unusual moderate temperatures, Pittcon® attracted more than 10.000 conferees to the show that describes itself as ” […] the leading showcase for scientific and technical innovation with a singular focus on laboratory science”.

IONICON was again a part of this important yearly event.

IONICON Pittcon Booth

We brought a new fresh and clear display with us and were impressed by the amount of visitors our booth and two posters that we presented in the Thursday’s session attracted.

Our posters had the following topics:

  • Comparison of the new PTR-TOF 2000 and the flagship PTR-TOFMS series instrument: PTR-TOF 8000
  • SRI: Switchable Reagent Ions – a new technology we launched in 2009, where instead of only H3O+, also NO+ and O2+ can be used as precursor ions.

You can download the posters here.

My impression was that the atmosphere and attendance on the show floor was way better than a year before in Chicago where the economic downturn was virtually perceptible, although the official Pittcon statistics tell a different story…

Take care!
