IONICON exhibited at the ACS Spring Meeting 2013
IONICON has exhibited PTR-MS technology at this year’s ACS Spring Meeting in New Orleans for the first time.
The Spring Meeting & Exposition of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has taken place in New Orleans from April 7-11, 2013. It was the first ACS event we contributed to and besides showcasing PTR-MS products, our scientists also presented several posters and one talk on hot topics of PTR-MS-related applications and current developments.
Live demonstrations at Pittcon 2013 – a huge interest in IONICON PTR-MS
Visitors were curious to test their breath in real-time and get some insight on the air they inhale at the show floor
Pittcon 2013 took place in Philadelphia for the very first time and attracted more than 18,000 attendees, 1,011 exhibiting companies from 28 countries and of course also us. We at IONICON showcased our most recent products such as the Liquid Calibration Unit (LCU), the IONIMED BET-med breath sampling inlet, and a full range of Trace Gas Analyzers based on PTR-MS and SRI-MS technology.
We feel that a live demonstration of our PTR-MS instruments is the best way to show their outstanding capabilities. Many visitors were attracted by the chance of doing real-time breath analysis and experienced the benefits of a quantitative and fast response, having a PTR-QMS 300 instrument connected to a special BET-med breath sampling inlet.

In connection to the 6th International PTR-MS Conference the very first PTR-MS user day took place…
At the beginning of February we invited interested PTR-MS users to a very special community day before the 6th International PTR-MS Conference at the University Centre, Obergurgl, Austria. The IONICON team and 5 selected PTR-MS experts covering various fields of expertise and experiences held the very first IONICON PTR-MS User Day attracting more than 30 attendees.

In the morning of both training days short theoretical refresher lectures by a selected IONICON specialist will be held.
Afterwards small groups will get training on different PTR-MS instruments covering maintenance issues, calibration, software and analytical topics.
You will be able to pick your favorite topics and create your own workshop schedule. The number of people per group headed by our experts is strictly limited in order for you to acquire in-depths knowledge of every topic and interact with your trainers.

The International PTR-MS Conference will take place for the 6th time aiming to continue the success story of this event series. The conference is organized by the Institute of Ion Physics and Applied Physics of the University of Innsbruck and sponsored by IONICON and IONIMED. In connection to the 6th International PTR-MS Conference, the IONICON “hands-on PTR-MS” training seminar and workshop will be held, giving all participants the opportunity to combine a PTR-MS training with academic networking and new insights from research.
I am glad to announce that the preliminary dates for the PTR-MS Conference 2011 and hands-on PTR-MS 2011 are now set.
